How to Turn Off your PC using Ubuntu Terminal

Everyone knows how to turn off your PC using the graphical user interface. In this blog post, let’s check how to power off your PC using Ubuntu terminal.

You can make use of the command poweroff for this purpose. Launch your terminal using the keyboard shortcut ctrl + alt + T. Then just execute the following command. You may need to type in your password.

sudo poweroff

This will results in immediate shutting down of your Ubuntu PC.
