How to Update Android Studio

Android Studio is the most popular IDE for Android app development. Let’s check how to update Android Studio in this short tutorial.

Follow the steps given below.

  • Open Android Studio and click on the gear icon given in the bottom left area. See the screenshot given below.
  • Then choose Check for Updates from the list of options given in the dropdown menu.

If you are using a very old version of Android Studio then the steps are a bit different.

  • Open Android Studio and click on the configure button given in the right bottom area.
  • Select the Check for Updates menu from the drop-down.
